Abram (also known as Abraham) Abraham was born about 2000 B.C.E and died at around 1950 B.C.E. The years of his existence is inapplicable. A summary of his life and the legacy he left behind is that Abraham was the father of the Hebrews who believed in only one God. In the Torah, it states that one day, God asked him to make a sacrifice of his son Isaac. Abraham dearly loved his son, but his devotion to God was so complete that he brought his son Isaac to a mountain to be sacrificed. At the last minute, God sent an angel to stop Abraham from killing his son. Abraham proved his faith and obedience, and God renewed the promise to him. Upcoming funeral information:
